Notes and links
The Wealdway is a route from the Thames to the Channel, cutting across the North Downs, Greensand Ridge, Weald and South Downs. It can be combined with the 1066 Country Walk (and its links) to join the northern end of the Saxon Shore Way at Gravesend to its southern end at Hastings, so creating a great circular walk some 420 km (260 miles) long.
Although the centre of Gravesend is interesting, the first three kilometres of the Wealdway leaving Gravesend are perhaps the most tedious section of any long distance path in the territory. The rest of the Wealdway is wonderful.
